§ Mr. WoodIn the last six months the British Government have pledged £9 million for relief in Bangladesh. This brings the total relief contribution to £12 million, and is in addition to the loans of £4.8 million which were signed last February. We are also providing two helicopters for relief operations, and we have chartered a helicopter, which is now operating in Bangladesh and which will remain there until the first helicopter is delivered. We have provided a further £100,000 to the International Committee of the Red Cross to assist it in its operations in the whole of the sub-continent.
