Mr. Ronald Bellasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science in what local education authority areas in England and Wales and in how many schools the number of immigrant children exceeds 30 per cent. of the total number of children attending; and whether, in calculating these figures, the children of immigrants who have been in this country for more than 10 years have been included.
§ Mrs. ThatcherIn Janary, 1972, there were 699 schools in England and Wales in which the number of immigrant pupils exceeded 30 per cent. The answer to the second part of his question is "No".
