asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why he has agreed to pay a salary increase in retrospect to the acting Chairman of the Horserace Betting Levy Board; how much this increase will be; how many such increases have been made at the stated periods since this Chairman 110W was appointed; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Carlisle
If the hon. Member is referring to the Chairman-designate of the Horserace Betting Levy Board, he will take office on 16th November, 1972, and no salary in respect of this appointment is payable to him for any period before that date.
