§ Mr. Juddasked the Minister of State for Defence whether he will make a statement on the circumstances in which the Royal Navy's 120-ton torpedo recovery vessel M.V. "Lasham" was found abandoned by Mr. Ted Gerrard of the Isle of Pabay.
§ Mr. BuckThe naval torpedo recovery vessel "Lasham" grounded off Pabay Island in the afternoon of Saturday, 18th November and was refloated at high water early the next morning. In view of the forecast force 9 gale, the ship's company were taken off to avoid danger to life. Another vessel stood by all night. A board of inquiry has been set up to investigate the circumstances of the grounding but has not yet reported.
