§ 45. Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representation he has made to the French Government urging them to desist from further hydrogen bombs tests in the South Pacific.
§ Mr. AmeryThe French Government are aware of our views. We hope that France, in common with other countries that have not done so, will in due course accede to the Partial Test Ban Treaty of 1963 which prohibits nuclear testing in the atmosphere.
