§ Mr. Bishopasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action has been taken during the past year to reduce or end the practice of slopping-out in prison establishments and to improve toilet facilities.
§ Mr. CarlisleProvision is being made in all newly designed prisons and cell blocks for sanitary facilities which make slopping out unnecessary. Improvements to sanitary and washing facilities are being made at a number of existing establishments and will be undertaken elsewhere as resources permit.
