§ Lord BalnielMy right hon. Friend received two letters on Ugandan Asians from the hon. Member, one dated 24th October and one 25th October. He replied to the first in his letter of 25th October, and to the second on the same day in the form of a postscript to that letter.
§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will apply the rule regarding British subjects stranded abroad being assisted out of public funds on a loan basis, against a signed undertaking to repay, for repatriation only if they have no money and are unable to raise enough from friends, relations or banks, &c., to the Ugandan Asians.
