§ Mr. Meacherasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in drawing up the proposed terms of reference for the Select Committee on the tax credits proposals, 242W he will seek to ensure that they cover an investigation of the administrative and financial feasibility of introducing a scheme combining regular progressive tax rates, the payment of child credits to the mother and the inclusion of all supplementary benefit recipients.
