§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will take action to ensure a speedy resolving by the Inland Revenue Department of matters pertaining to the affairs of Portal Engineering Company Limited, in liquidation, so as to facilitate the winding-up of this business.
§ Mr. NottThe Inland Revenue does not wish to hold up the liquidation of this company but, for reasons which have been explained to the hon. Member, the speed with which settlement can be reached is not entirely in its hands.
