Mr. Donald Stewart

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will consider cancelling the North Sea production licences of companies or groups of companies which make statements calculated to deceive the Scottish public as to the extent of oil discoveries.

I know of no evidence to suggest that such statements have been made.
