asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what percentage of the store cattle agreed to be shipped to Great Britain annually from the Irish Republic under the terms of the Anglo-Eire trade agreement has been shipped in each year since the implementation of the agreement.

Under the Agreement on Store Cattle and Carcase Meat, the Government of the Republic of Ireland undertook to use their best endeavours, consistent with the circumstances of the trade, to ensure that the number of store cattle exported to the United Kingdom should not fall below 638,000 each year. The numbers exported in each full year since the implementation of the Agreement are given below and are expressed also as a percentage of the figure in the Agreement:
