§ 50. Mr. Selwyn Gummerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will seek powers to prevent 307W British abortion clinics placing abroad advertisements for clients.
§ Sir K. JosephI already obtain assurances from approved nursing homes that they will not advertise abroad. A breach of this assurance by a nursing home would cause me to consider whether my approval should be continued. I have no plans to introduce any legislation on abortion in advance of the report of the Lane Committee and the reaching of conclusions upon it.
