§ 43. Mr. Goldingasked the Secretary of State for Employment what has been the increase in unemployment in North Staffordshire in the computer industry and industry generally since June, 1970.
§ Mr. Chichester-Clark:The total number of people registered as unemployed in North Staffordshire has increased by 4,551–3,136 wholly unemployed—between June, 1970, and April, 1972. The numbers registered as unemployed who last worked in the electronic computer industry were six at June, 1970, and 68 at April, 1972.
