Mr. Pounder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of all the Bills which had been presented to the Parliament of Northern Ireland, and were not yet enacted at the date of the prorogation of that Parliament; what stage each of these Bills had reached either in the Senate or House of Commons of the Parliament of Northern Ireland; and what action he now proposes to take on each of these Bills.

The Prosecution of Offences (Northern Ireland) Order, 1972 has already been made to implement the proposals in the Bill numbered 1.

In addition I have announced that the re-organisation of local government will proceed as planned and in accordance with the announced timetable. I intend therefore to recommend that Orders in Council should be made dealing with the matters covered by the Bills numbered 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 15 above.

I have carefully considered the other Bills which were before the Northern Ireland Parliament at the time of prorogation and have decided to recommend that in due course Orders in Council be made dealing with the matters covered by 2, 3, 5 and 13 above.

The remaining measures comprise a Private Bill and five Private Members' Bills.
