§ Mr. BryanAppointments to the National Dock Labour Board are governed by a statutory procedure. The Chairman and Vice-Chairman are appointed by me after consultation with the National Joint Council for the Port Transport Industry. In making these appointments, I shall continue the Government's policy of choosing the man or woman best qualified for the appointment irrespective of any other considerations. The eight industrial members are appointed by me on the nomination of the National Joint Council to represent dock employers and dock workers.
