§ Mrs. ThatcherThe Science Research Council's scientific space research programme includes the use of rockets and satellites for research on, or using, the naturally occurring plasmas in the sun, the ionosphere and the Aurora Borealis, and the artificial plasmas created by rocket discharges. The aim of the research is to increase general understanding of the atmosphere, the ionosphere and stellar processes.
