67. Mr. Gourleyasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what financial assistance he will make available to the Robb Caledon Shipbuilding Company to prevent the imminent closure of their Burntisland shipyard, 227W involving the immediate loss of approximately 80 jobs.
§ Mr. RidleyWe have at present no proposals for specific assistance to Robb Caledon. We are reviewing the position of the shipbuilding industry as a whole and expect to announce the conclusions shortly.
