The processing of information relating to persons dealt with by the courts in England and Wales, including the Metropolitan Police District, takes some time. I hope the statistics for 1971 will be available in the summer.

§ Mr. SharplesThe annual report of the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis shows that the Metropolitan and City of London Police Company Fraud Squad investigated 258 serious cases of alleged fraud in 1970 involving approximately £36 million.
