§ Mr. Greville Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Employment on how many of the applications made under the Industrial Relations Act for compensation for unfair dismissal in the first three months of its application such applications succeeded; how many applicants were awarded compensation of £100 or less; and how many in each successive band of £100 to £500, £500 to £1,000, £1,001 to £2,000, £2,000 to £3,000, £3,001 to £4,000, and how many of over £4,000, respectively.
§ Mr. Chichester-ClarkI regret that this information is not available at present. Arrangements are however in hand for the regular statistical analysis by computer of complaints of unfair dismissal under the Industrial Relations Act and their outcome. The first such analysis is expected to become available towards the end of the year.
