§ Mr. Gordon Campbell13,033 wheelchairs of various types were on issue in Scotland on 31st December, 1971. It is not possible to say how many of them have special features or modifications to suit individual needs or how many of the users could be regarded as very severely disabled.
It is not the practice to disclose prices negotiated under Government contract.
Details of numbers of the various categories of chair on issue as at 31st December, 1971, are as follows:
