§ Mr. CarlisleAbout £175,000 is expected to be spent in the current financial year on the maintenance and renovation of existing staff quarters at Brixton, Pentonville, Wands worth and Wormwood Scrubs prisons. These four establishments are among those recognised as having priority for the purchase of new quarters, but the expenditure will depend on the number of suitable houses which become available.
