§ Mr. PeytonI understand that in certain cases the contractual arrangements between the agencies and the hauliers may not comply with the requirement of Section 92(2) of the Transport Act, 1968, that, in the case of an employee-driver, the user shall be deemed to be the person whose servant or agent the driver is. My Department's enforcement staff will be devoting some attention to this matter in the near future, and will take appropriate action if breaches of the law are revealed.
