§ Mr. Parryasked the Minister of State for Defence how many Government vessels have been repaired in Merseyside ship repair yards since 1st January, 1972; and how these figures compare with the last five years.
§ Mr. KirkSince 1st January the Ministry of Defence has placed contracts with Merseyside ship repair yards for the refit of three vessels. In addition Her Majesty's Submarine "Otter" has been in hand since June, 1971 and continues to provide work for a Merseyside yard.
