Mr. Critchleyasked the Lord President of the Council whether he will 270W seek to buy or build a block of flats in Strasbourg to provide accommodation and services for the 36 Members of Parliament, members of the European Parliament who will be obliged to spend between 100 to 120 days a year in that city after Great Britain becomes a member of the European Economic Community after 1st January, 1973.
§ Mr. R. CarrNo. The European Parliament and its Committees meet in Luxembourg and Brussels as well as in Strasbourg and the number of days on which such accommodation in Strasbourg would be occupied would not make it a viable proposition.
