§ Mr. William Priceasked the Secretary of State for Employment what progress has been made in revising the Woodworking Machinery Regulations, 1922;when revision of these regulations first started; and if he now proposes holding a public inquiry on the draft regulations published in March, 1971.
§ Mr. Dudley SmithRevision of these regulations began in 1963. The statutory draft which was issued in March, 1971, attracted a large number of criticisms and objections. I have decided that the best way to proceed is to issue a second statutory draft, and the necessary action is being taken.
