§ Mr. John DaviesJapanese Ministers are aware that although I welcome their seven-point programme, for which they still have to secure legislative backing, its impact in my view can only be felt in the medium term. I hope that the new Government under Mr. Tanaka will be able to make an early response to my requests for more immediate measures to help our manufacturers and exporters.
