§ 29. Mr. Loveridgeasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will exercise his discretion under Article 65 of the Royal Warrant to authorise the payment dates of war disablement pensions following successful appeals, in accordance with the assessments made by the chairmen of pensions appeal tribunals, and not from the dates when applicants first submit their cases for appeal.
§ Mr. DeanI set out the circumstances in which my right hon. Friend exercises his discretion in my reply to my hon. Friend on 23rd June. I have written to my hon. Friend about the problem which caused him concern and think that we have resolved the difficulty.—[Vol. 839. c.207.]
