§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsMy Department's standing advice to local authorities and other statutory water undertakers is that where there are lead pipes in a district, a lead-solvent drinking water should be treated to render it non-solvent. Advice has been given to medical officers of health of local authorities by the Chief Medical Officer.
