asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will now authorise the Central Electricity Generating Board to burn natural gas in the corporation's power stations and leave it to the discretion of that body to reach its decision upon which plants to convert upon commercial considerations.24W

Any proposals submitted by the C.E.G.B. will be considered on their merits within the overall framework of energy policy.
