§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will agree to meet a deputation consisting of the Members of Parliament, trade union and employers' representatives to discuss a number of problems concerning the application of the Port of London Authority under Section 9 of the Harbours Act, 1964, before taking any irretrievable action in connection with this application.
§ Mr. PeytonI shall of course consider the representations already made to me by the hon. Member and others, along with the advice I shall be receiving from the National Ports Council. I do not at the moment consider that a deputation would serve any useful purpose.
