§ Q5. Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Prime Minister if he is satisfied with the co-ordination between the Education, Employment and Social Services Departments on problem solving for special individual handicapped cases; if a centralised information exchange service on this type of problem solving has been established; and if he will make a statement.
§ The Prime MinisterThere is already close collaboration between Departments in seeking to solve the problems of handicapped people. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services has examined the hon. Member's proposal for the establishment of a centralised information service about all 443W facilities for handicapped people: but has concluded that this would not be an effective means of proceeding.
