§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what is the nature of the shortage of teachers in secondary schools in Lanarkshire and the subjects involved; and to what extent this shortage will be affected by the increase in the school-leaving age;
(2) what is the total shortage of primary school teachers in Lanarkshire; how many schools are on part-time teaching; and if he will give details of such schools in Coatbridge and Airdrie.
