Cavan, to Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, crosses the Border; whether they are aware that the consequential closing of the road is causing much inconvenience; what 1265WA steps they are taking, in view of the fact that the damage is a few yards North of the Border, to see that it is repaired; and what compensation will be paid in respect of damage done by flying debris to property in the Republic.
§ THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR NORTHERN IRELAND (LORD WINDLESHAM)There is no information available about responsibility for the damage to the bridge. Its restoration involves a number of engineering, financial and other considerations which are being studied. There is no provision for compensation for damage caused by this explosion to property in the Republic.
