§ Mr. Lomasasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will seek powers to provide money to set up additional clinics throughout the country for those persons wishing to give up smoking; and if he will make a statement.
§ Sir K. JosephHospital authorities and local health authorities are able to set up additional clinics if they so wish. My Department is at present studying the efficacy of such clinics and is comparing the various methods used and the results obtained to determine whether to encourage the setting up of further clinics.
