§ Mr. Gordon CampbellI am not aware of a shortage of geriatric beds in the Coatbridge and Airdrie area. On the current basis of planning for hospital geriatric services 116 beds are required; 280 beds are available in the area. The existing accommodation will of course continue to be improved as necessary, and 64 new geriatric beds will be provided in Airdrie District General Hospital, which is at present under construction.
