JosephWe do not know how many women who had a second or subsequent abortion in each of the years 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1971 in England and Wales had previously obtained abortions under the National Health Service, 311W but the numbers of women resident in England and Wales who are known to have previously obtained abortions under the Abortion Act 1967 in all places, that is, National Health Service Hospitals, Approved places and Approved Services Hospitals were as follows:
