Members of the nationalised boards for which I am responsible are required either in the relevant Act or supporting regulations to declare their business and financial interests to me so that I can be satisfied that they do not prejudice the performance of their functions and are not incompatible276W with the appointment. Rules concerning staff are a matter for the board concerned.
