asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many new jobs have been created in Northern Ireland from 1st January, 1972, to 30th June, 1972.

The number of Government-sponsored jobs promoted in manufacturing industry in the first six months of this year was given in answer to a Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Chertsey (Mr. Grylls) on 6th July. It is not possible from the statistics available to give accurate figures for all jobs created during the period.
