§ Mr. Fauldsasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether she will now make a statement specifying which boards of trustees of national museums and galleries have decided to allow the public free access at certain times if and when admission charges should be levied.
§ Mr. van StraubenzeeThe Tate Gallery has decided to grant two free periods a week from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. without calling on any additional Government funds. The National Gallery and the Wallace Collection are having discussions with my noble Friend the Paymaster-General. Questions about Scottish and Welsh galleries are matters for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
