§ The Attorney-GeneralWhenever any evidence is submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions, or to the Director of Public Prosecutions for Northern Ireland, which indicates that a criminal offence may have been committed, the prosecuting authorities will consider whether the evidence is sufficient to justify criminal proceedings.
