§ 16. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Scotland as Mr. W. G. Pottinger, a civil servant, did not seek permission before accepting gifts and moneys from persons or organisations with whom he was brought into contact by reason of his official duties, thus breaking the Civil Service rules of conduct, what action he intends to take on this matter, notwithstanding Mr. Pottinger's suspension from duty and legal inquiries which may be proceeding.
