§ The Prime MinisterTogether with my right hon. Friends the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry and the Secretary of State for Employment I had a meeting yesterday afternoon with members of the Economic and Finance and General Purposes Committee of the TUC. There was no substantive discussion of current industrial disputes: but the agenda covered industrial relations and pay issues generally, including the machinery for conciliation, the action taken by the Government in the Budget to stimulate the economy and the measures to help the regions outlined in Cmnd. 4942. Conciliation and other specific matters raised 361W are to be discussed further at future meetings.
