I am encouraging the London authorities to continue with a high level of building and to seek ways of providing housing at reasonable prices for Londoners wishing to buy. In this connection the Action Group on London Housing is engaged on a housing land availability survey and I am continuing to 279W press land holding Government departments and nationalised industries for the release of surplus land for housing.
