§ Mr. Straussasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, in view of the part the new St. Thomas' Hospital Buildings will play in the London architectural scene and their visual impact on those who work in and visit the Palace of Westminster, he will seek consultations with the Board of Governors of the hospital and the architects concerned about the exterior finish of these buildings.
§ Mr. PeytonWhen the Greater London Council were consulted about the scheme they laid particular stress on the need for the external finishes to the buildings to be well related to the immediate environment. I understand that the Council are satisfied with the selected finish.
