§ Mr. van StraubenzeeAccording to figures supplied by the University Grants Committee 3,830 university students who obtained first degrees in 1970–71 were still seeking permanent employment in December, 1971. Of this number 1,499 were known to be in temporary employment while awaiting permanent employment.
