§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why it took him until 14thApril to reply to the communications dated 14th and 23rd March sent to him by the hon. Member for West Ham, North, in view of the fact that the reply contained nothing which could not have been sent within a few days; and whether he will expedite his replies to correspondents in general and to the hon. Member for West Ham, North in particular.
§ Mr. CarlisleThe hon. Member was told on 30th March that the Director of Public Prosecutions had been asked for advice. He was informed on 14th April of the Director's reply.
