§ Mr. Gorstasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he is aware that some insurance companies giving comprehensive insurance coverage to motorists decline to fulfil their obligations in full when claims are made against them; and if he will carry out an investigation to see whether further legal protection needs to be given to the motoring public to protect them against exploitation by such companies.
§ Mr. NobleI have no evidence to suggest that insurance companies are repudiating their legal obligations. If my hon. Friend has such evidence and will let me have it, I will consider the matter further.
