§ Mr. Wigginasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make an estimate of the number of persons in Great Britain at a recent date who have divorced and then remarried, and what proportion this was of the total British population aged between 20 and 94 years, inclusive.
§ Mr. AlisonIt has been estimated that of the married persons in the home population of Great Britain in 1970 something of the order of one million were remarried following an earlier divorce, equivalent to some 3 per cent. of the population aged 20 years or more.
