asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the statistics published by his Department on air and water pollution.

Mr. Peter Walker

Various statistics of air pollution are published in the Handbook of Statistics, the annual reports of the Chief Alkali and Clean Air Inspector and the Road Research Laboratory's report on Air Pollution from Road Traffic.

Statistics of water pollution will be published in the report of the River Pollution Survey, the first volume of which should appear by the end of the year.
