§ Mr. Marksasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) if she will amend school premises regulations to ensure that every sanitary convenience shall be sufficiently ventilated and shall not communicate with any teaching or dining space except through the open air or through an intervening ventilated space;
(2) if she will amend the School Premises Regulations to ensure that school kitchens and dining spaces comply with Food Hygiene Regulations.
§ Mr. van StraubenzeeNo. School premises are subject to the Food Hygiene Regulations, which include requirements as to the ventilation and siting of sanitary conveniences.
